Where access is genuinely tight, the piece layout is planned around it in our Pickering shop before anything is cut. Rural properties rarely defeat us; unplanned ones sometimes do.
Do you fabricate fireplace surrounds as well?
Yes, and in a Raglan farmhouse with a wood stove or an open hearth it is one of the better uses of quartz. We cut hearth slabs, facing panels and mantel shelves on the same equipment as the kitchen work, so the colour and the polish line up exactly. Soot and smoke marks wipe off a polished quartz face far more easily than off painted brick. Ask the consultant to measure the fireplace while they are there for the kitchen.
Does living in Raglan make the job more expensive?
