Quick Quartz Countertops

Quartz Countertops in Kendal

Kendal sits in a valley in the north end of the old Clarke Township, with the Ganaraska River running southeast past the hamlet and the Ganaraska Forest — the largest continuous block of forest in southern Ontario — spread out beyond it. By the time a countertop reaches a house up here it has already been cut and polished at our Pickering shop, and this whole north end of Clarington is territory we cover.

Kendal was a shingle and sawmill town in the 1860s until the forest around it was cut over. What is left is a small hamlet of older houses on hilly ground, plus rural properties scattered through the bush. Steep approaches and tight interior stairs shape how a slab gets into a kitchen, and we plan the route before install day.

Kendal countertop questions, answered

Do you still come out to Kendal in the winter?

Yes. The roads around the Ganaraska hills drift and the grades get slick, but our crews work Durham Region year-round and plan accordingly. Winter is often a good time to do a kitchen — you are indoors anyway, and our schedule has more room in it than in June. If conditions genuinely make a delivery unsafe on the day, we move it and keep you informed rather than leaving you with a torn-out kitchen.

My Kendal house is old, with low ceilings and a steep stair. Can a slab even get in?

Almost always, and that is a measuring problem rather than a stone problem. The consultant checks the carry route on the in-home visit: door widths, the turn at the bottom of the stair, ceiling height at the tightest point. If a single piece will not physically make it, we plan a seam in a spot where the eye does not land — behind a sink, at a corner — and fabricate it that way in Pickering. You know the plan before we cut anything.

Can you do the laundry room and mudroom at the same time as the kitchen?

Yes, and doing them together makes sense out here where the mudroom does real work. Laundry tops, mudroom counters, bathroom vanities and fireplace surrounds all come off the same fabrication line in Pickering, so it is one template appointment, one install crew and one visit's worth of disruption. Point out every surface while the consultant is in the house, and the exact installed price you receive that day covers all of them.

What will it cost to replace the counters in my Kendal house?

We give that number in person, not online. Colour choice, edge profile, how many cutouts, whether the run turns a corner, whether the old top gets hauled away — each moves the total, and none of it can be judged from a description. A design consultant drives out to Kendal for free, brings real stone samples, laser-measures, and tells you the exact installed price during that visit.
