Quartz Countertops in Columbus

Columbus was English Corners until the post office arrived in 1847, and it still reads as a crossroads village where Simcoe Street meets Columbus Road at Oshawa's north end. Homeowners here get a fabricator, not a reseller: we cut and polish quartz in our own Pickering shop. One call to 289-939-1193, or the form, and a design consultant brings the samples and the exact installed price to your kitchen.

Columbus Road appears on the 1877 County of Ontario atlas as Church Street, and locals called it Concession 7 for generations. The village holds a few hundred people, with farms strung along Simcoe Street and Ritson Road and newer houses filling in behind. Kitchen sizes vary wildly between the two, which is why we measure rather than work from a floor plan.

Columbus countertop questions, answered

Do you do bathroom vanities, or only kitchens?

Both, and there is no minimum. A vanity in quartz is a common add-on once the consultant is already in the house measuring the kitchen, and doing them together saves a second trip up Simcoe Street for everyone. We also fabricate laundry room counters, fireplace surrounds and windowsill pieces from the same slabs, which is the easiest way to keep the colour consistent through the house. Mention it when you book and it goes into the same visit.

Where will the seams go in a big farmhouse kitchen?

Somewhere you can live with, and you will know where before we cut. Slabs come in fixed sizes, so a long run of counter or a large island in one of the older Columbus houses will need a joint. Because the cutting is done in-house, our fabricators can place that seam behind a sink, at a corner, or where the grain pattern hides it. The consultant marks the proposed seam layout during the in-home measurement so there are no surprises.

Can someone come out on a Saturday or after work?

Yes. We are open seven days a week, 9am to 9pm, and evening and weekend appointments are the norm rather than a favour for rural Durham customers. Plenty of Columbus homeowners commute, and a consultant standing in your kitchen at seven in the evening with samples is more use than a lunchtime call you have to leave work for. Pick a window that suits you when you submit the form or call 289-939-1193.

Can you give me a price over the phone for my Columbus kitchen?

No, and any fabricator who does is guessing. Until someone has laser-measured your counters, seen the cabinet layout, and heard which of the 800-plus colours you want, a number is fiction. The free in-home consultation exists precisely to close that gap: a design consultant drives to Columbus with samples, measures, and gives you the exact installed price before leaving. It costs nothing and carries no obligation. Call 289-939-1193 or submit the form and pick a time.
