Quick Quartz Countertops

Quartz Countertops in Janetville

Janetville sits southeast of Lake Scugog in the old Manvers Township, strung along Highway 7A with Janetville Road and Yelverton Road running off it. Most of what we do here is rural: farmhouses on large lots, newer country builds on severed acreage, and a handful of places close enough to the lake to be seasonal. It is under an hour from our Pickering shop, so the drive is nothing.

We fabricate in Pickering, which means no middleman and no waiting on someone else's saw. The consultant drives out to you with real slab samples, laser-measures the room and hands you the exact installed price during the visit. Evenings and weekends are available, and we are open every day from nine to nine.

Janetville countertop questions, answered

How do you handle a long private driveway or a gravel lane?

We ask about it before install day. Quartz slabs are heavy and awkward, and a soft shoulder or a steep, narrow lane changes how we bring them in. On the consultation visit the design consultant notes the driveway, the turning space and the door we will use, and that goes with the job to the shop. In spring thaw or after heavy rain we may ask to park at the road and carry, which is fine — it just needs planning.

We are renovating a farmhouse kitchen — can you work around the old cabinets we are keeping?

Yes, and it happens often out here — people keep solid old uppers and replace the counters and sink. The catch is that original cabinet boxes in a Manvers farmhouse are rarely a consistent depth, and the run may not be level end to end. We template to what is there and shim where needed on install. If a section is too far gone to carry stone we will tell you at the consultation, not after.

How quickly can you turn a job around out here?

As little as one to five days from templating to installation, and rural addresses do not change that. We are not a reseller sending your job to a third-party fabricator — the slab is cut and polished at our own Pickering shop, so we control the schedule. The one thing that stretches timelines is a colour we have to bring in specially, and the consultant will tell you that up front rather than after you have committed.

What pushes a Janetville quote up or down?

Size and shape of the run, mostly. Country kitchens around here are often generous — a long perimeter plus a full island, sometimes a mudroom or laundry counter added to the same job, which uses more slab but is efficient to install in one trip. Older farmhouse work costs more in labour because of scribing to uneven walls. Sink and cooktop cutouts, edge profile, waterfall ends and removing the existing tops all move it.
