Quick Quartz Countertops

Quartz Countertops in Holland Landing

The Holland Landing anchor sat by the river for a century and a half because nobody could be bothered to haul it any further, which is a fair summary of how the village grew. Houses along Bradford Street have been reworked in place, generation by generation, and the kitchens carry every layer of it: a doorway cut through after the fact, a counter that changes depth where an old pantry wall came out. We measure what the last renovation actually left behind.

Consultants cover Holland Landing, Bradford Street, the Yonge Street corridor and the rural lots along the Holland River. Since the housing here varies so much street to street, we measure in person rather than working from drawings. Weekend and evening slots are available if a daytime visit doesn't fit around work.

Holland Landing countertop questions, answered

How much do quartz countertops cost in Holland Landing?

It comes down to five things: the quartz you choose from our 800-plus colours, the square footage of your layout, the edge profile, the number of cutouts for sinks and cooktops, and whether seams are needed. Older village kitchens and newer open-plan ones price quite differently. The free in-home consultation ends with an exact installed price, or call us to talk it through.

Do you install quartz in bathrooms and other rooms, not just kitchens?

Yes. Bathroom vanities are a large part of what we do, along with fireplace surrounds and laundry room tops. Homeowners in the older part of the village often do a vanity first as a smaller project, then come back for the kitchen. Doing several rooms in one visit usually means one template appointment and one install day rather than repeating the process.

Can I see the colours before deciding?

You have two options. A design consultant brings real stone samples to your home at no charge, which lets you compare colours against your own cabinets, flooring and light. Or visit the Milton showroom at 501 Main St E, open seven days a week from 9am to 9pm. Photographs of quartz are unreliable, so we'd rather you judge from the actual material.

Q: The kitchen is in the oldest part of the house and the floor bounces. Can it take stone? A: Usually, but it gets checked first. Some of the Bradford Street houses sit on rubble or post foundations, and the floor moves under the weight of a full slab, especially at an island. The consultant looks at the joist span and the cabinet boxes during the visit, and where it needs blocking or a steel plate under an overhang we tell you before you order material rather than after it is cut.

None. Holland Landing is inside our normal service area, and the trip from Pickering is our cost, not yours. The consultation is free, and templating and installation are priced exactly as they would be for a job ten minutes from the shop.
