Quick Quartz Countertops

Quartz Countertops in Brighton

Brighton runs on two kinds of house: the older places on and around Main Street, and the newer subdivisions — Orchard Gate, Tackaberry Ridge, Hamilton Woods — that have gone up as retirees moved in from the city. Both need someone who will come to them. Quick Quartz sends a design consultant out with real stone samples, laser-measures your kitchen, and cuts the quartz in our own Pickering shop.

We cover the town proper down toward Presqu'ile, the orchard country north around Codrington, and the rural stretches west toward Smithfield. Long farm driveways and detached garages aren't a problem for our install trucks — we plan the approach at the template visit. Exit 509 puts Brighton right on the 401 for us. Open seven days, 9am to 9pm.

Brighton countertop questions, answered

We bought in one of the new Brighton subdivisions. Can you replace builder-grade laminate?

That's a large share of what we do out here. Builder cabinets are generally square and consistent, which makes for a clean template and a fast install — often the quickest jobs on our schedule. The existing laminate comes off and the quartz goes on the same day. If the builder fitted a laminate backsplash, decide during the visit whether you want tile or a quartz slab backsplash instead, because that changes what we cut.

We downsized to a Brighton bungalow. Can quartz work in a smaller kitchen?

It's arguably better in a small kitchen. Fewer square metres means the colour choice carries more weight, and quartz gives you a non-porous surface with no sealing to keep up — which matters more, not less, as a kitchen gets used every day for years. A bungalow galley or L-run often comes out of a single piece with no visible seam. Bring the consultant in, look at samples against your cabinets, and decide there. Bathroom vanities usually get done at the same time.

We do a lot of canning in the fall. How does quartz handle hot jars and heavy use?

Quartz handles the workload well — it's non-porous, so nothing soaks in from fruit, brine or vinegar, and it wipes clean. Heat is the one caution: the resin binder doesn't like a hot pot or a jar straight off the burner, so keep a board or trivet on the counter through canning season. Rolling and prepping directly on the surface is fine. If you want a big uninterrupted work area, say so at the visit and we'll plan the seams around it.

What drives the price of a Brighton kitchen countertop?

Size and shape first. The newer subdivision kitchens in Orchard Gate or Hamilton Woods often have a big island, and an island with a waterfall end or a mitred edge is a different job from a plain run against a wall. Older Main Street houses tend to be smaller but less regular, which costs in fabrication time rather than material. Then the stone itself — a Dekton or a premium Silestone sits well above an entry-level colour. Book the free in-home consultation and you get the exact installed price on the spot.
